29 CFR 1910.147(f)(4):Shift or personnel changes. Specific procedures shall be utilized during shift or personnel changes to ensure the continuity of lockout or tagout protection, including provision for the orderly transfer of lockout or tagout device protection between off-going and oncoming employees, to minimize exposure to hazards from the unexpected energization or start-up of the machine or equipment, or the release of stored energy. a) On or about 4/4/2022 the employer did not ensure that specific lock out procedures for the Cameron Seamers (Models # 216 &226) were used by sanitation employees to provide continuity of personal protection and orderly transfer of lockout devices during shift and personnel changes.
