29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels is not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) The employer does not require the use of any form of fall protection during roofing work. The violation was most recently observed at 1307 Mount De Chantal Rd, Wheeling, WV, on or about March 29, 2022, where employee #1 was performing roofing work on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges more than 6 feet above the ground and was not protected from falling, exposing the employee to falls of 18 to 28 feet. Charm Builders, Ltd. was previously cited for a willful violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1530421, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/29/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1021 Mount De Chantal Rd, Wheeling, WV.
