29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3): Complete periodic inspections of the crane were not performed at intervals as generally defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii)(b) of this section: a) Bay 1: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that the employer failed to conduct periodic inspections of the 10 Ton Overhead Bridge Crane, at least every 12 months as required by the standard. b) Bay 2: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that the employer failed to conduct periodic inspections of the 5 Ton Overhead/Underhung Bridge Crane, at least every 12 months as required by the standard. c) Bay 3: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that the employer failed to conduct periodic inspections of the 5 Ton Overhead/Underhung Bridge Crane, at least every 12 months as required by the standard. d) Bay 4: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that the employer failed to conduct periodic inspections of the 10 Ton Overhead Bridge Crane, at least every 12 months as required by the standard. e) Outside: On May 9, 2018 and at times prior; the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards in that the employer failed to conduct periodic inspections of the 5 Ton Overhead Bridge Crane, at least every 12 months as required by the standard.
