29 CFR 1910.125(e)(1)(ii): Flames, spark-producing devices, or other surfaces that were hot enough to ignite vapors were not controlled in each vapor area and any adjacent area. On or about 13 January 2016 and at times prior thereto, two employees were working in the maintenance shop where an open flame, gas heater was used approximately 3 to 6 feet from a flammable solvent tank, exposing the employees to fire and/or explosion hazards.
