29 CFR 1926.95(d)(1): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), used to comply with 29 CFR 1926, was not provided by the employer at no cost to employees: a) The employer does not provide eye protection at no cost to employees, who are exposed to eye injuries while using hand tools including, but not limited to hammer tackers, and claw hammers. Employees had to purchase their own safety glasses. b) The employer does not provide head protection at no cost to employees, who are exposed to head injuries from impact, flying objects, or from falling objects while underneath overhead work. Employees had to purchase their own hardhats.
