Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish emp loyment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that w ere causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)D ate of Violation:11/10/04 Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of bein g crushed/struck by 40 foot trusses that were not properly hoisted with an appro ved spreader bar. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement met hod to correct this hazard is to hoist the tyrusses in accordance with the Wood Truss Council of America recom mendations per BCSI 1-03. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
