29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating conditions. On or about 2/3/2023, Construction Trailer Specialist, Inc. had not ensured any powered industrial truck which was found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, was removed from service. The following forklifts were in use and not removed from service: a) Nissan 50 (#4) Model MP1F2A25LS, SN P1F2-9H2008. The forklift was defective at the time of the inspection; it was missing the accelerator pad on the pedal. The pedal had bare metal exposed. The PIT makings are not legible. b) Nissan 50(#9) SN E200621. The forklift was defective at the time of the inspection; it was missing the accelerator and brake pads on the pedals. The PIT Identification labels are not legible. c) Nissan 50 (#7) SN-E6003. The forklift was defective at the time of the inspection; it was missing the accelerator pad on the pedal. The pedal had bare metal exposed. The PIT Identification labels are not legible. d) Nissan (#6) Model CPJ02-98618.
