29 CFR 1910.303(b)(8)(i): The employer does not ensure that electrical equipment is firmly secured to the surface on which it is mounted: Recent examples of the employer's violative conduct occurred on these occasions: a) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Die Correction: Employees performed work including, but not limited to, bench work on dies where equipment including, but not limited to, a four inch by four inch (two gang) 120 volt electrical junction box which was not firmly secured, observed on or about 1/24/2017. b) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Die Correction: Employees performed work including, but not limited to, bench work on dies where equipment including, but not limited to, a four inch by four inch (two gang) 120 volt electrical junction box which was not fully secured, observed on or about 3/9/2017. c) 9000 River Rd, Delair, NJ, 08110- Waste Water Treatment: Employees performed work including, but not limited to, waste water treatment where equipment including, but not limited to, a four inch by four inch (two gang) 120 volt electrical junction box which was not fully secured, observed on or about 3/15/2017. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that electrical equipment, including the metallic gang boxes, are firmly secured to the surface on which they are mounted. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, AND PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, INCLUDING THE STEPS IT IS TAKING TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARD TO PROTECT EMPLOYEES FROM THE HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH ELECTRICITY AND A PHOTO OF THE MOUNTED BOXES. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19. ALUMINUM SHAPES, LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, ITS EQUIVALENT, OR ESSENTIALLY SIMILAR STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(8)(i), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1059368, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 28a, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 7/5/2016 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 9000 RIVER ROAD, DELAIR, NEW JERSEY, 08110.
