Text For Citation: 03 Item/Group: 007 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): Flexible cords and/ or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) through (F) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv): a) On or about May 19, 2011 and at times prior, employees were exposed to fire and electrical hazards in that, extension cords were used throughout the shop as a substitute for fixed wiring and attached to building surfaces. Cords were routed over lighting fixtures, structures and hydraulic lifts to provide power. Springs Transmission and Automotive, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard, or its equivalent 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(iv)(A) which was contained in OSHA inspection 313718355 Citation 1 item 11, issued on April 5, 2010 and became a final order on April 29, 2010 with respect to a worksite located at 3310 Chelton Loop North, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
