29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: a) On or about 8/18/2015, Production Area: A series of six coilers had unguarded shafts at a height of 76 inches off of the floor. b) On or about 11/5/2015, Extruder Area: A pointing machine had three unguarded rotating shafts at a height of less than four feet off of the floor. Abatement documentation is required for this item. Tecnofil Chenango, SAC, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 881463, citation number 1, item 14 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/3/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 40 South Main Street, Sherburne, NY.
