29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: a) On April 16, 2021, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 11 feet to the ground while using stairways that were not equipped with a stairrail system. Emerald Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1270365, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 27, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 75 W. Thacker St., Schaumburg, IL 60173. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
