Text For Citation: 03 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary. The program shall enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways, and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. 1) Jobsite: Employer did not ensure employees using a 32 foot Werner extension ladder to access a roof approximately 25 feet from the ground had been trained in ladder safety, thus exposing them to fall hazards. Condition noted on or about 28 OCT 2016. The employer, under the company name of All Brothers Contracting, Llc, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1060(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1065524, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/15/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 78 Cheltenham Drive Reading, PA, 19610.
