29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about 8/12/2014, at the workplace at 689 S. Highway 69, Pittsburg KS: Employees engaged in material handling activities in container 155 were exposed to fire and struck-by hazards in that the employer had not assessed the conditions in and around container 155 to determine what PPE was needed while loading and unloading fireworks.
