29 CFR 1910.145(d)(1): The employer did not ensure danger signs were furnished free from sharp edges, burrs, splinters, or other sharp projections: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not ensure all danger signs are free from sharp edges, burrs, splinters or other sharp projections. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instance: Two danger signs in the #2 Sulfur Recovery Unit are being used with sharp edges. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure danger signs are furnished free from sharp edges, burrs, splinters, or other sharp projections.n
