29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a- 1001 Tuckerton Road, Evesham NJ: The company worksite Foreman and their workers were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 10 feet 2 inches to flooring below, when accessing to and egressing from a residential structure's second floor while using a portable, unsecured, aluminum extension ladder whose side rails extended approximately 5 inches above the surface being accessed to and egressed from. Condition noted on or about 02/06/24. Road Contractor Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1686108, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/02/23, with respect to a workplace located at 116 Main Street - Bethesda United Methodist Church, Middletown DE. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
