29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. The employer continues to fail to ensure employees wore safety glasses while utilizing power tools that presented struck-by hazards to the eyes and face. The most recent incident of such failure occurred on or about May 5, 2022, located at 361 Kells Court West, Lot 13557, Newark, Ohio 43055: the employer failed to ensure employees wore safety glasses while utilizing power tools that presented struck-by hazards to the eyes and face. An employee was using a pneumatic nail gun while roofing a house. The employee was not utilizing eye protection, thereby exposing the employee to struck-by hazards to the eyes. Mr. �ngel P�rez, was previously cited for a repeat violation for this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1568670, citation number 3, item number 3 and was affirmed as final order on April 28, 2022, with respect to a workplace locate at Lot 231 Granville, OH 43023 Mr. �ngel P�rez, was previously cited for a repeat violation for this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1489272, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as final order on April 12, 2021, with respect to a workplace locate at 229 Woodland Sky Drive, Pataskala, OH 43062. Mr. �ngel P�rez, was previously cited for a violation for this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460891, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as final order on April 09, 2020, with respect to a workplace locate at 6922 Duke Drive, Canal Winchester, OH, 43110.
