29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: The employer does not protect each employee from fall hazards while engaged in framing work on a sloped roof and a floor deck with an unprotected side or edge, which are approximately 11 feet and 22 feet above a lower level by providing fall protection training to each employee in order to recognize hazards associated with working at an elevation and to understand procedures to control or minimize those hazards. a) This most recently occurred between April 16, 2021 and April 28, 2021, at 751 Meacham Ave., Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007. The employer does not provide training to each employee in order to recognize hazards associated with working at an elevation and to understand procedures to control or minimize those hazards. Emerald Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1284456, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 27, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at W. Main St. & N. Old Rand Rd. Lake Zurich, IL 60047. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that its employees are provided with fall protection training in order to recognize hazards associated with working at an elevation and to understand procedures to control or minimize those hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including an explanation of how these steps protect its employees from fall hazards.
