29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Fit testing. The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. On or about July 22, 2019, employees were not fit tested prior to being required to wear a 3M tight-fitting 2091 cartridge respirator when exposed to lead dust and smokeless gunpowder while loading the trommel and emptying the trommel tray in the spray booth.
