29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control: This violation was discovered on or about January 18, 2018; where employees that were deemed to be authorized to perform lockout/tagout by the employer were not trained in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control, and were exposed to the unexpected release of stored energy. Berry Marble Company dba U. S. Granite was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(I)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 978402, citation number 3, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 3, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2910 W. Erwin Street, Tyler, Texas 75702.
