29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure; In the maintenance area, an extension cord was used as a substitute for the fixed wiring. The extension cord was plugged into a relocatable power tap and powering an Innowave UV Water Dispenser, Model # 10 VHCW, for more than a year. The cord was routed from the relocatable power tap around the exterior wall of the restroom and over the entrance/doorway to the water dispenser.
