29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. (a) On or about April 10, 2024, at the jobsite located at 1443 Oriole Drive, Hartford, WI 53027, the portable extension ladder being used for access to the roof of the residential property on the back (West) side did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing area. (b) On or about April 10, 2024, at the jobsite located at 1443 Oriole Drive, Hartford, WI 53027, the portable extension ladder being used for access to the roof of the residential property on the right (North) side did not extend at least three (3) feet above the upper landing area. Juan Carlos Alvarez Govea dba Juan Carlos Alvarez Govea was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1607684, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 19, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2700 Golf Road, Delafield, WI 53018.
