29 CFR 1910.37(b)(7): Each exit sign did not have the word "Exit" in plainly legible letters not less than six inches (15.2 cm) high, with the principal strokes of the letters in the word "Exit" not less than three-fourths of an inch (1.9 cm) wide: or in the alternative 29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color: (a) On or about September 6, 2023 - Assembly, employees were exposed to fire hazards when the 'exit sign' in the assembly room had been worn with part of the word 'EXIT' removed and part of the self-luminous/ electroluminescent materials worn away. Dean Sausage Company, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.37(b)(7), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1641623, citation number 3, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/8/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 3750 Pleasant Valley Road, Attalla, AL 35954.
