29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. The employer failed to protect employees from fall hazards associated with using ladders during residential construction work. This was most recently documented on or about May 23, 2022 at a residential construction jobsite located at 4513 S 215 Ave, Elkhorn Nebraska. The ladder used by the employees to access the upper landing surface of the residence from the first level did not extended by at least 3 feet above the eave. Francisco Esquivel Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1335198, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 16, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 33 of the Granite Falls North Subdivision on Cove Hollow Cir, Papillion, NE 68046.
