29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: a. In the front of the store near the registers - On or about November 8 and 12 November, 2021, the employer had left the helium valve open after finishing use of the cylinder for filling balloons, exposing employees to the release to a chemical hazard. b. In the front of the store near the registers - On or about November 8 and 12 November, 2021, the employer failed to ensure the cylinders were effectively supported to prevent the helium tanks from being knocked over, exposing employees to a struck by hazard. c. In the front of the store near the registers - On or about November 8 and 12 November, 2021, the employer failed to separate fully charged from empty cylinders in order to facilitate minimal handling, exposing employees to a struck by hazard.
