29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. a) At the facility, 55 West End Rd, Totowa, NJ - (Compounding / Manufacturing area): Employees use half face elastomeric respirators to control inhalation hazards while compounding chemicals. The employer did not ensure that employees provided with and required to wear a tight-fitting facepiece respirator at the worksite pass an appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) or quantitative fit test (QNFT) on or about May 20, 2021. b) At the facility, 55 West End Rd, Totowa, NJ - (Compounding / Manufacturing area): Employees use full face elastomeric respirators to control inhalation hazards while compounding chemicals.
