29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a) Miguel Dominguez, at a jobsite located at Lot RVO425, 544 Randall Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015: On and/or preceding October 20, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees wore safety glasses while utilizing power tools that presented struck-by hazards to the eyes and face. Roofers were using pneumatic nail guns to secure the shingles. The employees were not utilizing eye protection, which exposed them to struck-by hazards to the eyes. Miguel Dominguez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1481682, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 10, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 768 Wharncliff, Lot WEL138, Pickerington, Ohio 43062.
