29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) Martin Venegas located at 10701 Killaloe Drive Dublin, OH 43017: On and preceding February 19, 2020, the employer did not instruct employees in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. Framers were installing sheathing and wood decking on the second floor of a home that varied from 10-17 feet with the employees working at different levels. The employees were not utilizing proper head or fall protection which exposed them to falls up to 17 feet and struck by hazards to the head. Martin Venegas was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1427508, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 24, 2020 with respect to a workplace located at 11920 Warbler Way, Plain City, OH 43064.
