29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: (a) On or about March 12, 2019, an extension cord used in the office area was affixed to the wall while powering computer and office equipment. (b) On or about March 12, 2019, an extension cord used in the automotive maintenance shop area was plugged in to a outlet on the ceiling, wrapped around ceiling metal joists, down to the racking system and wrapped around the racking uprights, to where employees used it for various portable electrical equipment including but not limited to a SKIL 9216 reciprocating saw.
