29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not used where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) Planer Mill; On or about May 31, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer failed to enforce the use of eye protection which resulted in employees being exposed to eye injuries from wood particles and dust generated by machinery and equipment operating in the area. b) Sawmill; On or about May 31, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer failed to enforce the use of eye protection which resulted in employees being exposed to eye injuries from wood particles and dust generated by machinery and equipment operating in the area. Dudley Lumber Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 930842, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 5, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 8575 Hwy 280 East, Salem, AL 36874.
