29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: The employer does not ensure workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were protected from ultraviolet rays. This violation was observed on or about July 13, 2016 and times prior to in the welding department at the facility, exposing adjacent employees to the hazard of welding rays. Contract Manufacturer dba CM Trailers was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316238658, citation number 1, item number 7, and was affirmed as a final order on October 17, 2012, with a final abatement date of September 28, 2012, with respect to a workplace hazard at 1102 N. Industrial Road Madill, OK 73446. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure workers and other persons adjacent welding areas are protected from the rays.
