Text For Citation: 03 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Moore Chrome Products Company, dba Moore Metal Finishing, Sylvania, Ohio; On or about February 18, 2016 the employer failed to ensure that the emergency eye wash and shower station located between plating lines #1 and #3 was operational. Employees were exposed to chemicals such as, but not limited to, chromic acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid. Moore Chrome Products, CO. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.151(c), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 422284, citation number 1, item number 6 and was affirmed as a final order on September 25, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 3525 Silica Road Sylvania, Ohio 43560.
