29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a) A & D Wood Products, Inc., Elida, Ohio: On or about August 26, 2014, the employer did not ensure that employees were trained to isolate energy sources on the Baker Products Baker Band Resaw prior to clearing jams on the equipment. Employees were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards if the saw were to unexpectedly start while employees reach into the machine to clear wood and saw dust jams. A & D Wood Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 108854, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on April 3, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 112 Ward St., Elida, Ohio.
