29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: a. On or about November 29, 2016, at the plant, the employer did not provide training to an employee servicing a re-spool machine about the hazards and procedures to minimize those hazards. The employee was exposed to crushing hazards. b. On or about November 29, 2016, at the plant, the employer did not provide training for their employees while they were required to make splices to copper and change out bobbins on the screening machine # 2. Employees are exposed to caught-in and crushing hazards. Gulf Cable LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1146644, citation number 01, item number 02c and was affirmed as a final order on July 25, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 Industrial Blvd. Milton, FL 32583.
