29 CFR 1910.1053(c): The employer did not ensure that no employee was exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 ug/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA: Foundry Area: On or about April 17, 2024, and at times thereafter, employees were overexposed at 64 micrograms of respirable crystalline silica per cubic meter of air (?g/m�) as an 8-hour time-weighted average (8-hr TWA). These exposures were approximately 1.3 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ?g/m3 and were determined during a sample period of 378 minutes, using zero exposure for the unsampled portion of the 8-hour shift. Employees performed tasks that exposed them in the following locations that were at or within close proximity to the exposure source: a) Abrasive Blasting Cabinets b) Knockout Stations c) Vertical Band Saw Station d) Vertical Belt Sander Station
