29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). On or about July 22, 2019, the employer did not conduct an adequate hazard assessment in that it did not address hazards such as, but not limited to, lead and smokeless gunpowder in the roll sizer area and sorting department.
