29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure place(s) of employment, passageways, and service rooms were kept clean and orderly, or in a sanitary condition: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not maintain general housekeeping in areas of the facility. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instances: a) In the DHT Motor Control Room, items such as electrical wires, motors, boxes, video display terminals, air tanks and debris were observed in areas exposing employees to slip trip, and fall hazards. b) The Warehouse South of the Sour Water Stripper, items such as cartons, barrels, totes, and debris were observed in areas exposing employees to slip trip, and fall hazards. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure passageways, and service rooms are kept clean and orderly, or in a sanitary condition.s,
