29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. On or about June 10th, 2024 Location: 123 E Allison Ave, Nanuet, NY 10954 a) Employee was accessing the roof with a ladder that did not extend 3 feet above the upper landing and was not secured at the top. Frank J Tucek & Sons Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1658200, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/24/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 164 E Eckerson Rd, Nanuet, NY 10977.
