29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5):Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use (e.g. closet): U.S. Postal Service Rockville 500 North Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850: (a) Loading Dock Doors - On or about April18, 2024, employees were exposed to occupational injury and illness when entryways which were not exits were not clearly marked with "not an exit" or identified by a sign indicating the actual use by their employees. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
