29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. a) On or about March 6, 2024, at the jobsite, the employer did not enforce the use of safety glasses, while an employee installed shingles on a 10'5" porch roof with a pitch of 4/12, with a pneumatic nail gun, exposing employees to eye injury hazards. b) On or about March 6, 2024, at the jobsite, the employer did not enforce the use of safety glasses, while an employee installed shingles on a 20'8" roof with a pitch of 4/12, with a pneumatic nail gun, exposing employees to eye injury hazards. Acosta Unbreakable Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1582746, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/23/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1656 Wells Road, Orange Park, Florida 32073.
