29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a. On or about April 12, 2023, at the above addressed jobsite, the employer failed to ensure that an employee operating a Genie GTH-1056 telehandler was adequately trained as demonstrated by the successful completion of a training and evaluation program. United Custom Homes, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1641650, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on February 27, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 17028-17036 Clover Dr. Orland Park, Illinois, 60467.
