29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 16 Clairborn Court, Minoa, NY 13116: On or about February 14, 2023, employer failed to ensure employees using a portable ladder to access a first-story roof had the side rails of the ladder extended 3 feet beyond the access point. Professional A Construction, Inc. was previously cited for 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1545395, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 10/14/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 63 Newhall Street, Malden, MA 02148 .
