29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns: a) On August 22, 2022, employees were not wearing protective helmets where there was a possible danger of head injury from falling objects during framing operation. Araujo Construction Corp., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1338497, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 3504 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60618. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
