29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) New townhome construction located on Lots #96-104 Atley Place, Alpharetta, GA 30009, Front side of Unit #99: On or about 01/31/2022, the employer failed to inspect all electrical extension cords used to provide power to the Makita 5007F 7-1/4-inch Circular Saws plugged into the three way power cord which had a damaged outer casing exposing the internal insulated wires. An inspection of these cords were not performed prior to the shift as these cords were not repaired or removed from service.
