29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a. On or about November 17, 2021, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that periodic inspections were conducted at least annually of the energy control procedures, such as, but not limited to, the machines and equipment on the Thermoforming Lines in the Thermoforming Department, to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of the standard were met thereby exposing employees to caught-in, caught-between, struck-against and struck-by hazards associated with the machinery. Encore Plastics Corporation was previously cited for a Serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460224, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on April 2, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 725 Water Street, Cambridge, Ohio.
