29 CFR 1926.251(b)(1): Welded alloy steel chain sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and sling manufacturer: On or about April 24, 2019, an employee used a welded steel chain as a sling to hoist a fabricated steel roof section. The sling did not have a permanently affixed identification tag, exposing employees to the hazards associated with hoisting and rigging. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
