29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): Means of egress from trench excavations. A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress shall be located in trench excavations that are 4 feet (1.22 m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62 m) of lateral travel for employees. 1) Jobsite: Employer did not ensure that a safe means of egress was provided within 25 feet of lateral travel in the working area. Exposing employees to various hazards associated with not being able to safely egress from an excavation. Condition was noted on or about 10 JUN 2017. Freedom Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.652(c)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1003224, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12 MAY 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1028-32 Wood Street.
