29 CFR 1910.29(f)(4): (4) Openings in stair rails. An opening in a stair rail system exceeded 19 inches (48 cm) at its least dimension; a) UBE 2000-2; On or about February 1, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to fall hazards in that employees were required to walk up and down fixed stairs that had a stair rail system with an opening that exceeded 19 inches at its least dimension in that there was no mid-rail.
