29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Grinding machinery was not used with work rest(s) to support offhand grinding work or work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: A. Old Pill Room: On, or about, July 28, 2021, the Central Machinery bench grinder was not provided with proper work rests. The work rest on the right side was adjusted too far from the abrasive wheel and a work rest was not provided on the left side. B. Tool and Die Department: On, or about, August 27, 2021, the Wilton bench grinder was not provided with properly adjusted work rests. The work rests on both sides of the grinder were adjusted too far from the abrasive wheel.
