29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Alloy steel sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach: a) Vat Area Slings- On or about September 23, 2023, employees lifting bundles of logs weighing approximately 3200 pounds in the Vat area were exposed to struck-by hazards from steel chain slings that were not affixed with identification tags that stated the size, grade, rated capacity, and reach. b) Slicer Area Slings- On or about September 23, 2023, employees lifting logs weighing approximately 500 pounds in the slicer areas were exposed to struck-by hazards from steel chain slings that were not affixed with identification tags that stated the size, grade, rated capacity, and reach.
