29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): The employer did not ensure that pulleys seven (7) feet or less from the floor or working platform were guarded: On or about 14 February 2018, the employer failed to ensure that pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o) on the following machines: a. National Bolt Maker #14 - Belt and pulley assemblies were not guarded to prevent employees from inadvertently getting caught-in the bite/nip point where the belt ran onto the pulley during the operating cycle. The access door was propped open. b. National #17 - Belt and pulley assemblies were not guarded to prevent employees from inadvertently getting caught-in the bite/nip point where the belt ran onto the pulley during the operating cycle. Employees were exposed to the hazard of being caught-in an ingoing nip point. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
